Characterful dog photography in London
To see your dog in a new light is a special thing - a portrait full of soul that will stay with you forever to celebrate and remember them by.
My photography sessions are informed by my background as a dog trainer. By applying my experience as a dog trainer, I ensure sessions are calm, safe, and enjoyable, even for reactive or shy dogs.
What I prioritise in every single session:
Natural, authentic portraits that reflect your dog’s personality.
Patience and time to let your dog settle.
A ‘smiling’ dog is often a stressed one - I don’t over-hype or pressure your dog to ‘pose’. My goal is very different - to see your dog in a relaxed state where their full joyous character comes through in a natural way.
If you haven’t already you can view the gallery here to see examples of my dog portraits.

There are two options in regards to locations:
Mobile studio sessions. These are held in your own home, adding convenience and a chance for your dog (and you!) to relax in your own space.
Studio pop-up days. All studio sessions currently available are listed here. Please sign up to my VIP club here to be the first to receive date releases and early access discounts.
My mobile studio setup allows me to cover the following areas:
Streatham, Tooting, Brixton, Clapham, Dulwich, Crystal Palace, Wimbledon, Putney, Greenwich, Richmond, Battersea and Fulham.
However If you can’t see your area or if you live further afield please get in touch regardless - I may still be able to organise sessions with you.
-
Before each portrait session, we can discuss your requirements, from how I can bond with your dog through to creative choices of lighting and backgrounds. From dark and moody backgrounds to bright and fresh, from deep crimson to creams and blues, we can chat about what you would like and what would suit your dog’s portraits.
Perhaps most importantly, I like to find out about your dog - what they’re like in terms of character, how I can help us create a bond, and finding out important things like food allergies and behavioural needs.
-
Of course this is a fun part of the process. Each dog photography session includes a slow introduction to your dog, a full session (generally 60-90 minutes in total), plenty of water and treats, and patience!
-
I think it’s special to have bespoke framed prints produced following your session and we can discuss these in our 1-2-1 viewing session following the shoot.
You’ll be able to view your dog’s retouched portrait collection (generally 15-25 portraits), select your 10 × 12” print (included in all packages), and discuss any additional upgrades of bespoke printing and framing and digital files.
You can find out all information on pricing below. Any questions so far however? Feel free to contact me here.

Following the shoot we will arrange your 1-2-1 artwork and viewing session where you’ll be able to view a gallery of your dog’s carefully retouched portraits (generally between 15-25), select your 10 × 12” print (included in all packages), and discuss any wall art or digital files you might want to add on, with most people spending between £700 and £1,200.
I work with a high end printer and framer who make beautiful hand-made wall art, and have been meticulous in why I’ve chosen them! You can view the full price list of all optional wall art and digital files here.

In short, yes. My photography sessions are informed by my background as a dog trainer. I will discuss your dog’s needs in depth with you to make sure we bond and create a safe and relaxed experience.
We can take our time and allow your dog to get used to me in their own time. The shoots are relaxed and not time-pressured for this very reason.
I also have extensive experience with rescue dogs in volunteering in rescue centres, fostering and with my behaviour courses.
-
Absolutely! Obviously it’s beneficial if your dog already knows ‘sit’ and ‘wait’, but I’m happy to take on the challenge myself - I also run dog training sessions based from south London too. I’m always amazed at how a dog reaches a point in a photoshoot where they completely relax - you can tell when this moment happens. I only use positive training techniques, and with time, patience and rewards we can take some beautiful portraits.
-
I love the intricacies of dog training and behaviour, feeling how a dog responds in a positive way, and I directly translate that into my dog photography. It stems from years of experience working with rescue dogs - nothing can replace hands-on experience and in-person expertise.
Your dog is my first priority. My in-person sessions are focused on capturing tailored and bespoke portraits that are full of character.
And I hope it goes without saying but I adore photography, especially of our dogs!

My photography sessions are informed by my background as a dog trainer. My mission is the same for both things - to see a better world where people and dogs understand each other fully - one where we celebrate the joy and love that dogs bring.
Knowing the intricacies of dog behaviour allows me to relax them in a portrait session. This is where their true character really shines. They should enjoy their session, not be forced into ‘poses’ and ‘smiles’.
